Whenever you're choosing a limo service it's obviously for a special occasion. Whether it be prom night or your wedding night you want to make sure you're getting the most for your money. Having some information upfront will not only help cut costs, but will make sure you have an enjoyable limo service experience.
The first thing you'll want to decide is whether or not you'll be going to a large event such as prom. If you're going to something that a lot of other people will be going to try sharing your limo ride with another group. Try asking your other friends if they'll be wanting to hire a limo service as well so you can split the cost with them. You'll be getting the same quality limo service, but at a much cheaper price.
Make sure you know the layout of the limo that you'll be riding in, as well as the number of seats available. You don't want to pack a limo that was only meant to fit about five people with three groups of three people each, otherwise be prepared to get comfortable with your fellow limo passengers. Now if you're hiring a limo service that you know you'll only be using, such as for a wedding it makes this decision a little easier. Just make sure the limo you'll be riding in will have enough room for you to stay comfortable.
The next thing you'll want to consider when hiring a professional limo service is whether or not they have the proper insurance coverage. God forbid you get into an accident, you don't want to have to worry about insurance problems. Call the limo service that you'll be hiring and ask what their insurance policies are. If they're a quality service they'll give you a straight answer. If their answer seems slow and they seem like they're hiding something, stay away.
The last thing you'll want to take note of are your local alcohol laws regarding consumption within a moving vehicle. If you know that you're going to be consuming alcohol while you're riding in the limo make sure that it is legal first of all, and secondly make sure it's acceptable to the limo service that you'll be hiring. Alcohol can just complicate an already complicated event.
Make sure your limo driver is being professional and isn't drinking on the job. Some bad limo drivers have been known to drive people to the event that they're going to, such as a concert, and while they wait for their passengers to get back they sneak a few drinks. Now I'm not saying all limo drivers are alcoholics, I'm just saying you need to be cautious. Most limo drivers are great people are extremely good at taking good care of their passengers. Make sure to give them a good tip at the end of the night for a job well done. I'm sure they'll appreciate it and if you ever use the limo service again you'll be taken care of.
